Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will assist the company in making profitable business decisions by gathering information and preparing accurate estimates. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and has a proven track record as an Estimator. We are contracted with insurance companies, and we use the estimating software that corresponds with each carrier.
Responsibilities
- Fully understand the project scope and requirements by studying documentation, meeting with clients, and visiting relevant locations
- Collect necessary documentation such as plans, drawings, and project specifications
- Determine the key variables for cost and conduct research to determine expected labor and materials costs
- Gather bids and negotiate with subcontractors to secure the best possible prices
- Create and submit estimates to insurance adjusters
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Estimator is a must
- Ability to work late or on weekends to get estimates submitted on time
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Skilled in relevant software (Xactimate and Symbility)
- Excellent writing, and negotiation skills
- Ability to write emergency service estimates as well as reconstruction estimates
Compensation: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
